Hi,
I am trying to install MQ 5.3 on my Win2k workstation.
during installation it had asked for Network prerequisites, I had answered NO to the conditions.
Now after installation when the prepare MQ wizard runs a message window appears saying an unexpected error has come while validating the security credentials for user.
The MQseries service then remains in a state of Starting, it doesnt start / stop properly.
Please advice.
Thanks and Regards

Hi,
I found a solution from another website
Am reproducing the solution so that it might help someone else.

We've just had the exact same problem - our problem was that MQ was fine (crtmqm and strmqm worked perfectly) but MQ Explorer wouldn't work.
The issue was that MQ Explorer uses COM to communicate with MQ, and for some reason it didn't have the authority it needed.
The solution is to run "dcomcnfg", and look for the "IBM MQSeries Services" entry in the applications list, click Properties, then go to the "Identity" tab. We changed the user to the local administrator account, and all suddenly was well.
Hope that helps,
Regards,
Ben. |
