If you are using MQSeries Classes for Java or JMS you need to install MA88. If you want to use plain simple C/C++/COM/ActiveX clients you don't need MA88.
Also, you don't need servers on both the machine. You could have client server (client mode). Or you can install servers on both the machine and use binding mode.

What are you looking for in that html file ? The doc/en_US dirctory should have documentation.

I understand that MA88 is for the interaction in between java and MQseries.
I wanted to know if I use JMS and MQ and the env. is windows2000 and again I installed MA88 on one machine and MQServer on the other machine( both in LAN)
I am trying to run the java/jms application from the machine (in which MA88 is installed) .
My application is not giving me the desired results..
Do i need to install any thing else then MA88 for interacting with the MQServer.

Secondly if this MQSeries server goes in WAN .. would there be any difference?

Thanx

You will need JRE, MA88 and MQI Client/MQSeries installed. These are the bare-bone installs. Don't forget to setup RMI in your Java app., applet, etc.
