We have configuration FMC,FMCGRP,FMCSYS,FMCCONQM. We have webserver which has the cleint concentrator FMCCON and the runtime on AIX which is basically a 2-tier set up. Now there as need for new business application and we have created new configuration FMC1,FMCGRP1,FMCSYS1 on the AIX box
Do I need new Client concentrator on webserver? Given that FMC and FMC1 are catering to entirely new business applications.
If "FMCCON" is set as default, will it efffect the new client concentrator ( if at all I have to create one)?
I am trying to understand the concepts, so any help is appreciated.
Thanks |

You can use the same client concentrator with the configuration you are suggesting( grp2, sys2) but I am not sure how you would have to configure the webclient if at all you have to.
Why do you need a seperate Group, you can use the same group and add a new system to handle the increased workload. _________________ -Ratan |

What is that you are trying to do?
What do you mean by client concentrator? Is it a web client with QMGR or just a client concentrator?
If it is a wbe client with QMGR, do you think you will create TWO configurations but you will use the same Queue Manager?
If I were you I would create a new Web client configuration with a new QMGR.

Its altogethere a new business application.. different users different organizations... you can think of seperate company in an organization. Hence I thought it would be better to have them seperated with different group

Even though its a new business application, to my knowledge it is always convinient to use the same Group. Now you have two different groups to maintain. _________________ -Ratan |
