one of the users of our application is experiencing an API error. The following text is written to the error log.

The C2C application has reported an IBM MQ Workflow error:

Error checking in activity for user C053924:
FMC38009E MQSeries Workflow API Error :
API Return Code : 118
Error Origin : e:\v330\src\fmcjcitm.cxx, line 3831
Error Message : FMC00118E Object does not exist
Nested Exception : None
Date: 2003.06.24 09:36:15.421
Class: c2c.mqwf.Workflow
Method: checkInWorkflowActivity
Exit, return code = C053924


Any ideas on what causing this error and how to resolve it?

It looks straight forward that the CheckedOut workitem has been deleted before it is CheckedIn.
Make sure that somehow you are not deleting process instance or workitem before Checking it in.
Give more details what exactly you are doing then somebody can guess the problem...
