Hi,
what is the advantage of Requester-sender channel, which is callback def. In what cases we have to use this type of channels.
Thanks in advance,
Chandra. |

In sender - requester channel, sender initiates the communication and when requester on receiving the request for communications, it breaks the communication and then initiates the communication back to the sender.
In this type of channel pair, there is a two trust between the MQSeries servers. This ensures the communication is taking place between servers of known IP addressses. |

Hmm,
thats not the way it works!
When the REQUESTER initiates the communication, the SENDER breaks, and issue connect using it's CONNAME.
The REQUESTER accepts all senders, it don't check the incomming conname, sorry. To be shure that it's the real one you will have to use SSL or a security exit.
The main advantage (seen from my point of view) of SENDER-REQUSTER is the ability of both ends to initiate the communication (if the other end is able to run). Personally i'm only using this configuration.
Just my $0.02 _________________ Regards, Jørgen

You don't "have" to use this model. It is simply a more flexible approach to sender/receiver where all comms are initiated by the sender. Either end being able to effectively start the channel is a big plus for availability and performance. |
