Can anyone please let me know about the MAX Queue Depth and MAX Queue size that can be defined on AS/400.

max queue depth -- 640000
I don't know what you mean by Q size, but if it is the max message length that you want to know, it is 100MB which by default is set to 4MB(4 194 304 bytes). |

It also depends on the MQ Version you are running. Those values are good for MQ5.3
For earlier versions it is 5000. |

The values I have mentioned are good for MQSeries for AS/400 Version 5 Release 1.
Double check with Venny though. She is more reliable. |

Max Queue Depth <= 640,000
Max Message Size <= 104,857,600
Version 5.3
Max Queue Depth <=999,999,999
Max Message Size <= 104,857,600
Realisticall though, you will never get to a queue depth of nine 9s. Even a 1 byte message still needs almost 400 bytes of space for the MQMD.
400 x 999,999,999 = more bytes than your hardware can handle.
