I am using WebSphere MQ V5.3 on Solaris with PTF U487899 is applied.
There are 2 components that access to same queue under same queue manager, one of them puts a message and another gets a message with the following options.
put:
MQOO_OUTPUT
MQPMO_SYNCPOINT
get:
MQOO_INPUT_SHARED
I can put a message and I can see CURDEPTH is increased, however, I can not get a message from same queue and I am getting message "MQRC_NO_MSG_AVAILABLE". However, when I shutdown a component for put, I can get a message with a component for get.
I did not get this problem with WebSphere MQ V5.3 for Windows and HP-UX. I am getting this problem only with MQ for Solaris.
Do you have any idea ?
Thanks

Are you committing your messages when putting them under syncpoint?
If you're not issuing a COMMIT, that would explain what you're seeing, but not why it's working one way on one platform and differently elsewhere. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I am using XA-compliant application, so I think commit should be done by XA manager. It actually worked with no commit on windows and hp-ux.
I double-checked for MQ Queue attribute between platforms, but I cannot find out the differences. |

If you are using the XA interface do you have it correctly configured on Solaris ??? _________________ Jeff
