Hi all,
I want to connect an external QueueManager to an existing MQS-Cluster. This means, I do not want to join the new QueueManager to the cluster, but exchange messages with the cluster. What definitions must be done?
The cluster consists of two QueueManger on two hardware pieces, HP-UX, MQS5.2. Is there any possibility to configure the two different IP-adresses of the cluster hardware to the external QM-Channel for failover?
Regards

You just need the regular DQM setup. Need to defined Sdr/rcvr pairs between the cluster queue managers you wish to talk to using the non-clustered queue manager.
Not sure what you meant by qm-channel failover, but if you meant you want to use this non-clustered queue manager to act as a failover qm, then this is not possible. Because the channels that you run from this queue manager to the clustered queue manager would go down as soon as there is a failover at any of the clustered qms.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
