hai all
I created a local queue in the mq series explorer console and named it Q1.when i run the application runmqsc with the command
runmqsc -m Q_manager and use the display command to display the queue Q1 ,it is not showing up .Actually i get a message saying that there is no object(Q1).I created the same with the define command and ended up with two queues in the console. Is there any difference in creating a queue from command or in the mqseries explorer window?
Can i know whats the problem it is
I use MQ Series version 5.2 in WINNT platform
Please Help!
Palanikumar

There is no difference between creating a queue using MQExplorer (or MQJExplorer) or runmqsc. Ensure that you are in fact connected to the correct queue manager. I have seen occasion where there are multiple queue managers and a user connects to the wrong one. If the problem persists, post the exact command and output that you are seeing with runmqsc. |

Objection!
There is a slight difference, which is the fact that object names entered in all the graphical tools I know of, are used as typed, that is not converted to uppercase. runmqsc folds all object names not enclosed in quotes to uppercase. So, if you defined the queue in Explorer by typing 'q1' in the queue name field, and then switch to runmqsc and issue a DIS QL(q1), you won't find it. If you instead use DIS QL('q1') it should show up.
It might be as simple as this, can you please verify?
Thanks,
Stefan
