I am finding some strange behaviour when I am using MQIPT (MS81) on Windiow NT and Sun Solaris. The prerequisite says that MQIPT requires j2se141. However on NT 4.0 I am able to run it with Java 1.3.1 w/o any problem.
On Sun Solaris, it gives "Unsupported major.minor version 48.0" exception for ssl exception. I am succsfully able to run it on Sun Solaris with j2se141.
Wondering why it works on Windows NT with 1.3.1 and not on Sun Solaris. We are using JDK from SUN on both the platforms.
I am really interested in running it on 1.3.1. OR if someone has older version that run with Java 1.3.1 that I can get. ( I am not looking to use Socks/https or http - just plain simple MQ Message Protocol)
Any pointers will be appreciated.

HI,
I am working on MQIPT and getting the folloing error to start it.
"MQCPE017 The exception java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: com/ibm/mq/ipt/ssl/SSLException (Unsupported major.minor version 48.0) was thrown causing MQIPT to shut down"
Server : Windows 2000, MQ Ver : 5.3, JDK : j2sdk 1.4.1_03
Any idea?

| Are you sure you have a 5.3 compatible version of IPT? |

Same IPT is worked on NT/MQSeries 5.3. When we first installed IPT, the windows 2000 server had jdk1.3. we got this error after uninstalled IPT and jdk and installed jdk 1.4(j2re) and IPT.
