According to the manual to check the latest CSD level installed...you do the following:

To check the service level:
1. Type SMIT
2. Select Software Maintenance and Installation
Software Maintenance and Utilities
List Software and Related Information
List Installed Software and Related Information
List Installed Software
Alternatively, run the fastpath command smitty list_installed_sw
3. In the SOFTWARE Name field, enter wmqi\*
4. Press the Enter key. The level of each WebSphere MQ Integrator fileset is displayed, and the last digit indicates the service level. For example 2.1.0 indicates that no service level has been applied since the product was first installed.

I just installed CSD04, but when I do this I see 2.1.0.5

Anyone know why it would be 5???

When 2.1 first came out, it had some serious problems. They quickly sent out a fix, but didn't label it as a CSD. I can't remember what they called it exactly.....maybe someone out there has a better memory than I do. Anyway, the release level and the CSD level have forever been one off from each other ever since.

I think it was called CSD 0.

IBM are now suggesting to us that we might want to upgrade to the forthcoming WMQI v5 later this year.

I hope that WMQI v5 does not have as many issues with it's initial release.
