Am I roght in saying that JMS's publish/subscribe approach is same as using distribution list in MQ-Java API.

I wouldn't say that publish/subscribe is the same as a distribution list. With a distribution list, you know who is going to be getting your messages and it is a fixed number. With publish/subscribe, the publisher has no idea who has subscribed or how many of them there are.

It looks like there is no concept of distribution list in JMS AP. Am I right?

No, I don't think there is. I had some documentation once that had an explanation for why the jms api did not include distribution lists but I can't find it just now...
