 would be glad if anyone could guide me through the installation of MQseries. I have installed websphere MQ 5.3 successfully , but i could see that it does not have samples for Java.
Pls advise what all is necessary or any links where it is mentioned .
bottom line is i want to use MQseries via Java code.
i tried to install ma88_win.zip but it gave an error during installation "incompatible MQseries already installed" and quits.
basically i want to know what all is required to install and configure for MQseries 5.3 and java in windows NT environment.

Hi,
since MQ Version 5.3 the java APIs "base" and "jms"
are included in the product.
You no longer need to install support pack MA88.
Take a look at the <WMQ Inst>\Tools\Java\jms directory.
There you can find some samples which use
the "jms" API.
For a simple test you can use the class "MQIVP.class"
in <WMQ Inst>\Tools\Java\base directory.
Sadly, there are no longer samples programs for the
"base" API, but you can find some in the repository
section of mqseries.net

Also the MQ Java is not installed if you have done a "typical" install of MQ 5.3. If the above mentioned directories like
"C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\Java\bin"
"C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\Java\lib" are not found then you don't have MQJAVA.
