If I parse in an XML message that has encoding="UTF-8" into Java unicode and send it on it's way in an MQSeries message with characterSet = 1200 as unicode, do I have an obligation to alter the XML declaration to say encoding="UCS-2" or is it assumed that the outermost encoding specification, 1200, overrides anything in the message body data?

thanks,
