Hi guys,

My client has MQSeries link for R/3, for integrating SAP sytems. We have managed to send Idocs from SAP system to a AIX system where we have our MQSeries installed. The Idoc is neatly put onto the defined queue.
We also have Websphere MQSeries Integrator which we intend using for transformation/routing and to update databases.
The problem is that, we are not in a position to figure out what format the IDoc is (i believe it has it's own format/standard structure rather..) Its not a XML file...it's just a stream of bytes..Has anyone parsed IDocs coming from SAP? Did anybody come across mySAP.com? will this help solve our requirement? any views/suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks in Advace,
Vishal

There are a lot of SAP adapters out there that parse IDocs.
Below is a link from IBM's list of partners that have solutions for SAP R/3, as well as the offering from the company I work for. Good Luck on your search.

Hi,
The IDOC format is normaly a general EDI.

There's an example of parsing IDOCs with WMQI in IBM support pack page, at http://www-3.ibm.com/software/integration/support/supportpacs/individual/ia0f.html

luck

Hi,
you can use the SAP transactions we60, we61, we62 and we63 to take a look at the structure of your idocs.

In we60 you can create a c-header which describes the idoc headers (EDI_DC40),
segments header (EDI_DD40) and the segment fields itself.

The c-header can be imported into a WMQI message set, which then can be used to parse the idocs.

You can use the CWF / TDS parsers or the above mentioned support pack
IA0F: WebSphere MQ Integrator - IDoc parser for SAP
http://www-3.ibm.com/software/integration/support/supportpacs/individual/ia0f.html

You can also use the WBIA Adapter for mySAP.com (Websphere Business Integration Adapter formerly Crossworlds) as repacement for R/3 Link.
http://www-3.ibm.com/software/integration/wbiadapters/mysap/

The adapter transforms the Idoc to a XML message and provides an MRM message set
so that WMQI can parse the message.
