There's a requirement for some of our workflows to be sent to all the staff in a particular unit. This unit currently has about 50 people.
Currently, we can assign a workflow to 32 users. This workflow is created in less than a second.
However, if we try to assign a workflow to 33 or more users, the workflow is not created and after 3 minutes we get a Timeout exception.

Any help will be appreciated.

What you are saying does not make sense.

While assigning a single workitem to that many users is probably not wise, going from 32 to 33 users making the workflow engine go from sub-second workitem creation to time out does not seem right. I know that in some of my tests for a Virtual User POC I created 100 workitems and did not experience what you are indicating.

How big is the FDL? can you post it so we can have a look?
