We use MQ 5.3 running on Solaris 8 with JRE 1.4.0.
We have a receiver that on receiving a message (onMessage), it sends a message to another queue. If a receiver is started and left idle for a long period, i.e. it doesnot receive any message at all for a long period, on receiving the first message it crashes when trying to send a message to another queue. However, if the receiver receives a message not long after it is started, even if it is left idle for a long period, it is fine.
There are 2 sessions created, one for receiving messages and one for sending messages. The session for receiving messages is created with client acknowledge, and the session for sending messages is created with auto acknowledge. The session for sending messages is created on receiving the first message. Tried creating both sessions at start-up, had the same behaviour.
Has anyone experienced anything like this? |
