Did this replace 095? I was planning to take 095 next month, now i hear about this 294 thing - are there 2 certification exams now? or is 095 still valid.

I don't think that I've seen anything 'official' to indicate that 095 was going away. However, since 294 has MQ 5.3 at the end of it, I would assume that this is the latest test and that 095 will eventually be retired.
Also, if you follow the "Free Certification Testing" link on:
http://www-1.ibm.com/certify/certs/mqsywsmq53.shtml
you'll be able to take a sample test. At this time, passing the sample test will get you a certificate to take 294 for free. |
