I think that WMQI can only handle the following types of repeat,
- Element repeating fixed number of times
- Element repeating "N" times. "N" being an interger variable that is defined before this repeating element
I've a message 'MSG' with the following sub-structures -
- HEADER
- DETAIL repeating variable number of times i.e. "N" is not known
- FOOTER
HEADER, DETAIL and FOOTER are 'Variable Length Elements Delimited', the delimiter being '|'.
The compund type MSG is 'Variable Length Elements Delimited', the delimiter being '<CR>'.
Since, the number of times DETAIL gets repeated i.e. "N", is not known beforehand, the parser is unable to identify FOOTER

Are you at level CSD02? If so, there is a problem and you should upgrade to CSD03 or CSD04.

Thanks Lisa but I was already on CSD03.
However, having the luxury of some unique tags, the problem was solved by assigning 'Group Indicator's. |
