I have to build several client channel table (amqclchl.tab) files and am unable to get it done on my Windows 2000 Pro laptop. I'm running MQ Server V5.3 and issue the same command in runmqsc that works on a machine running MQ V5.0.
define channel(828CLNT.MOSY1244.01) chltype(clntconn) trptype(tcp) conname(CORPMWEB10) qmname(' ')
All I get back is AMQ9516: File error occurred.
I have been unsuccessful searching for help so far.....
Anybody have any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks, Larry |

Well I have 2 things
1) I cut and pasted your command into my MQ v5.3 and it works.
2) It sounds like a file permission error, do you have access to the
file MQROOT\qmgrs\QMGR_NAME\@ipcc\amqchl.tab ??? or maybe you
dont have access to the dir _________________ Jeff

Did you upgrade from v5.2 to v5.3, if so try move the amqchl.tab file to some other name and try the command again _________________ Jeff
