My trigerring works fine when I start the trigger monitor in a command promt (Win2000). But when I start the trigger monitor using MQServices nothing happens. Is there any special setting or know problem that I am missing. Also is there any where I can look for messages when I start trigger monitor using MQService for win2000.
My platform: win2000, MQ5.2.x.

-Ratan.

What type of ttriggering do you use? Is the INITQ specified in the trigger monitro correct? Do you have any messages in the DLQ?

I remember we have some problems with MQService Trigger Monitor with MQ 5.2.
Try upgrading to latest CSD level first.
Also we used MA7K support pack :
http://www-3.ibm.com/software/ts/mqseries/txppacs/ma7k.html
It run as NT service and logs to event monitor.

I have MQ5.3 CSD 03. Doesn't help either.
I have come to the conclusion that we have to use the support pack

One difference from running the trigger monitor from command line (runmqtrm) and services is the former process is started by the logged on user and the latter by MUSR_MQADMIN.

I am wondering how MQWF would start the trigger monitor on windows (on FMCTRIGGER).

But definitely the latest Version with latest CSD seems to be of little significance in this case.

Resolved the issue with the help of Venny's observation -

It is unable to trigger because MUSER_MQADMIN was not having previleges to execute it. Made him a member of local Administrators group and everything works well.
