Hi there,
I need to write a script that will tell me all the queue managers installed on a system.
Possibly also queue managers on a set of nodes
How do i go about this?
is there a script already available??

Not aware of any such script. It may be around.
Other than Windows, i think on all other platforms it isnt a difficult task. Read through the mqs.ini file for "Name" stanza. This would give you all the qms on a particular node. You can modify this script to read this file on all other nodes.
On Windows though, you might have to read through the registry.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

What Platform and MQ ver are you running. I'm not aware of any script that can retrieve all existing Qmgr's, however I think mqonnet is right, you could get this from the registry or even in the given path i.e. C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\Qmgrs
here it would list all qmgrs. this is on XP/5.3 by the way

Why not use "dspmq" command. It works on most of the platforms.

or if you are using As400, you can use WRKMQM to list all the qmgrs |
