Hi:
I'm facing a typical porblem in event monitoring. My local queue propertires are Enabled for Max queue depth event and High Depth Event. It's generating the proper events and messages are also going into the SYSTEM.ADMIN.PERFM.EVENT queue. At times after generating the event my local queue properties are getting changed. Like Max queue depth event and High Depth Event's are getting disabled and Low Depth Event getting enabled. while the limit set for these events are remaining unchanged.
Why is that happening? How shld I solve this problem?
I think this may be as designed. The events are disabled and it is up to the application monitoring these events to deal with them and then re-enable the events. Maybe someone else can point you to the right place in the documenation to be sure...

A complete chapter is dedicated to events called "Event monitoring" in the manuals. Dont think you have glanced it carefully enough.:)...
Performance events, and specifically the High and low depth events are always toggling. And you can have only one at any point in time. And when one gets satisfied it toggles to the other.
Initially if you set to catch Queue depth HI event. When the event occurs, it switches back the Queue event to OK. And hence it waits until an OK event occurs, when it toggles back to HI again.
All of this occurs only when all the rules governing these events are satisfied. Check the manuals to see what they are and their details.
Cheers
