Hi,
We regularly use NNFie to export formats from development. I would like to export these as part of a format collection... to keep the formats in a tidy group.
I can use the -k option of NNFie to export a single format collection.
NNFie (-e <export file name> [-s <session name>] [-k <type> <name> <version>])
-k = export component by name, <integer - type > <name> <integer - version> are required
However if I specify multiple -k flags in the command only the first is used and the other collections are ignored. Is there any way of exporting multiple formats collections (or other indivually specified components) to the same export file?
Thanks,
Vicky |

Use command: NNFIE -C NNFie.cmd
-C = Alternate command file: default file is NNFie.cmd
if this option is given, NNFie will read command-line
options from a file instead of the command line.
Create file NNFie.cmd
first row is:
Code: |
-e <file name> -w 80 |
each next row will represent 1 element from you list
Code: |
[-k <type> <name> <version>] |
I used type=1 and version=0: -k 1 LINEITEM_S 0
I tested it and it working fine
BTW, you can see this command in cmd window when you export from GUI. Also file .lst is generated with same name as .exp, but you can use .cmd as described in documentation. _________________ Best regards.

Yaakov,
Thanks for your help, however, I find exactly the same problem with using a command file. When I check the export file, only the first entry has been exported!
NNFie.cmd contains the following but only the first collection is actually in the export file.
-e /home/mqm/export/ALIS_ALL_FMT_20030402.exp -w 80
-k 20 "Printing" 1
-k 20 "Quote PDF (Web)" 1
-k 20 "DD Mandate (Her)" 1
Any other suggestions? Maybe multiple exports in this way are just not supported...
As for exporting from the GUI, the .lst file produced looks the same as my cmd file, however the GUI just hangs with the Processing scrollbar at the bottom indicating that it is trying to do something. I have to kill it to continue. (I am using 2.0.2 csd 3).
Thanks,
Vicky |

Vicky,
If I understand correctly, you have the same problem when exporting in GUI?
May be you have some problem in NNFie.
Try to run command with file generated by NEON, but I think it will not help.
I tested it on MQSI 2.0.2 (without SP) and it worked fine.
SP3 contains lot of NEON related changes and bugs fixes
Can you try SP4 ? _________________ Best regards.

Here's a kludge. (My NEON is rusty, but I think you can do this.)
Create a format collection that is made up of the format collections that you want to export.
Then export that collection. Is that what you were going for?

Good idea Todd.
However, I have just tried it and I can only add formats to format collections. I can't include format collections in another format collection.
I'll get back to this eventually and add a post here if I work out how I can get it working.
Thanks for your help. |
