My QMGR is on a NT4.0, MQSeries V5.2 CSD05.
The logs are linear.
I have a object damaged.
When I use rcrmqobj.exe to recreate the object, I have this message :
AMQ7088: Object APPL.STD.MB, type qlocal in use.
Is there a solution to force MQSeries to recreate this queue ?
Thanks. |

My understanding is that "rcrmqobj" is to record image of an object at the time it was good. Which would help you to recover the object to its last known good state later. But i dont see any value behind using this util when an object is already damaged.
There might be recovery tools around to recover damaged objects, but i am not aware of any. Hence from my perspective you have to recreate it anyways.
Moreover any Non persistent messages would be lost in the event that the object is damaged. And not sure how would the recovery tool, if any, try and retrieve the Persistent messages in this case.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
