HI,

We are using MQ Series Version 5.2 for Sun Solaris.
MA88 Support Pac is also installed for getting Java Support.
SunOS <zbank> 5.8 Generic_108528-13 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-280R is the machine on which the MQ is set up.

We intend to use MQ Series 5.2 for Sun Solaris as the Transaction Manager.
The Resource Managers are MQ itself and Oracle.

The following things are taken care of :
1). ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID have been set.
2). The libclntsh.so file is present in the ORACLE_HOME/lib directory
3). Resource Manager stanza has been added to the qm.ini file

When we issue qmgr.begin() in the Java code
the program ends with a MQ Exception
Reason Code 2372 and Completeion Code 1

The description corresponding to this is not there in MQ messages pdf.

Any clues...

Check the following link.

http://www.developer.ibm.com/tech/faq/results/0,1322,1%253A401%253A407%253A35%253Amqjava,00.html#q35

When you have an external participant in your transactions you need define it accordingly. The co-ordination between the extranal co-ordinator and all the participants should be alike. And they all should be synchronous. All this happens when you configure them properly.

Check out Application programming guide. Ch 4, sample mq programs. There is a chapter called "database co-ordination sample". This explains your issue.

Cheers
Kumar
