Hi everyone and long-time supporters of mqseries.net,

The time has come. At the end of this month, I am retiring after 42 years continuous employment in the IT industry.

In 1994, I started working with MQSeries for MVS/ESA V1.1, and haven't really moved away from involvement since then. I've set up, administered, supported and developed on nearly every MQ version on MVS, AS/400, Windows NT (through to Windows 2022), Pyramid, SunOS/Solaris, HP-UX, BSD, AIX, Linux (RedHat, SUSE, Ubuntu), HP VMS. 2 IBM SupportPacs. 2 IBM RedBooks (while working for IBM GSA - 15 years).

Current employer has over 100 Queue Managers (AIX, Linux, Windows) and over 3,000 MFT/FTE agents. Recently managed to get rid of MQ 6.0 on the last remaining AIX 5.3 server, kept for a very old legacy app.

Torrents of water under the bridge. Many interesting stories, stressful moments, and jubilation. I may check back into the forum from time to time, however its basically adieu. I am contactable on LinkedIn.

Cheers,
Glenn Baddeley
