Hi,
I am working an a requirement that Mule API receives a message from IBM MQ 6.5 running on VMS server and send a reply back.
I am facing an issue when sending a reply back and the issue is replyTo queue name comes with special character like this > Primary.Oper.1A1435%9.
I am looking for a suggestion to overcome this issue. I appreciate your help on this. Below mentioned the exact MQ setup we use in our project
IBM MQ 6.5 server -> IBM MQ 9.2 Server -> Mule API

I appreciate some help on this. Below I will explain what the problem I am facing.
We have IBM MQ 6.5 running in cient machine
In server, we have 9.X version runing.
Both MQ 6.5 and 9.X are configured to talk to each other.
Our Mule API consumes message from 9.X. When receiving message from 6.5 to 9.X I can see the replyTo queue name in the message in MQ console. But Mule API not able to return reply back to ReplyTo queue. The reason is it throws an error 'The specified value is not allowed for XMSC_DESTINATION_NAME.
I can understand it is because of the special character coming in the ReplyTo Queue name. Is there anyway I can overcome or by pass the issue? Is it possible to create Alias queue for Temporary Queue?
Please share me your suggestions.

Allowable characters for MQ objects:
Uppercase A - Z
Lowercase a - z
Numerics 0 - 9
Period (.)
Underscore (_)
Forward slash (/)
Percent sign (%)
So, Primary.Oper.1A1435%9 is composed of valid characters for an MQ object.
Please be precise. What error are you receiving, and from what/whom?

Looks like there USED to be a problem with % signs in JMS queue names - see APAR IT11846.
But surely you must have this fix, this is very old.
Perhaps this ReplyToQ is coming from a URI and there is a similar problem to that described in the APAR. You'll have to give us some more details I think.
