MQ Blast

Not sure when this came out but it looks quite useful.

On my Windows PC - amqblst seems to be the bindings mode version.

Any idea where to find the Windows MQ client mode version (amqsblstc)?

I don't have a compiler - I would like a ready to run .exe for MQ client mode.

Did you install the MQ Client component alongside the MQ Server component?

There is no need for a client-specific compiled version. That has not been necessary for many years. Since V7.0 I think.

Set the environment variable MQ_CONNECT_TYPE=CLIENT and any program linked with libmqm will act as a client. (There are other ways to force that path too, but that's the simplest.)

And amqsblst was probably released at some point during V5.x - guessing around V5.2 - so it's been there a rather long time. (I remember it being originally written to test MQ ports to platforms that are no longer around.)

Thanks, that's very useful to know (and certainly news to me).
