HI,
I am looking for MQ IPT installations steps/guide on linux.
I have checked IBM documentation which has steps for unistallation ,but not Installation.
It simply says to untar the file and set read permissions for the directory and set the classpath
Will this be enough to install ipt.
Is there any command to check for the Installation path of IPT .
Can someone please point me to any useful links. |

It's as easy as it says.
Untar the file and check for file permissions... You may want to set the config file as ug+rw...
Have fun _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

The installation location is not fixed. MQIPT can be installed anywhere on the system. It is not necessary to set the system PATH or CLASSPATH environment variables to refer to MQIPT.
The MQIPT commands can be invoked from any location and MQIPT automatically detects its own location. You might choose to add the MQIPT bin directory to the PATH environment variable for convenience, but it is not mandatory to do so.
You can also install MQIPT alongside previous versions of MQIPT.

The short answer is that there is no command like dspmqver to check the MQIPT installation path.
Your company should have a standard install directory, eg. /opt/mqipt on Linux.
You could try to find it, eg.
find /opt -name mqipt.conf _________________ Glenn |
