I ran this on a server this morning that failed over and found that when I ran the amqoamd program, we get a lot of user names that don't seem to be resolvable. The field will say "Name lookup failed", yet authorization still works for the users that "lookup" has "failed" for. Is this normal?
We are running MQSeries v5.2 base level code on Windows 2000 SP2 running with Cluster Services. And yes, MQ is a failover-able resource.

Hey Warren...
I hit this same problem. First let me tell you that 'amqoamd' is not a supported utility... prepare to hear that if you call in with this issue.
So what's happening? Well, the unresolved account messages are appearing because amqoamd is unable to obtain entity type information by doing a lookup on the SID as the SID is no longer valid.
I expect that your id in question was deleted...
