If we have 2 client agents, each connecting to their own agent/cmd qmgr locally (in their own data centers), but the two queue managers are connected via MQ Clusters across a bit of a WAN, is it still helpful to use multi channel cluster channels for the two connected clustered queue managers, or is the benefit of such a design limited by the bandwidth of the single client channels being used by the agents at each end? We previously used this where one of the agents involved was running locally on the same server as the command/agent qmgr itself; but in our cloud implementation, that is no longer the case.

I would only consider multi channel if there was a noticeable performance impact, or there is other MQ cluster traffic that has a tight delivery time constraint and/or a different priority to MFT. _________________ Glenn
