Hi,

I have a small query in ESQL (being used in the compute node).
I can create a reference variable pointing to my input node and the value of the node gets passed to the variable, but the same thing does not happen in the case of a reference variable to an output tag. This variable does not take in the value and pass it to the output.

code:

DECLARE inputCursor REFERENCE TO "InputBody"."IParent"."Ichild";
DECLARE outputCursor REFERENCE TO "OutputRoot"."OParent"."Ochild";

SET ouputCursor = inputCursor;
This last statement does not work as the reference variable ouputCursor is empty is no value being passed to the ouput.
But the statement below works:
SET "OutputRoot"."OParent"."Ochild" = inputCursor;

Try create the tree before you using REFERENCE TO.
Code:
DECLARE inputCursor REFERENCE TO "InputBody"."IParent"."Ichild";
SET "OutputRoot"."OParent"."Ochild" = '';
DECLARE outputCursor REFERENCE TO "OutputRoot"."OParent"."Ochild";
SET ouputCursor = inputCursor;
