Hi!
I'm in the process of installing MQ5.3 on Win NT 4.0 SP6 with Netscape LDAP Directory on jdk1.3.1_06.
When I run a JMS application that was successfully working on MQ5.1, I get the following error:
java.lang.ClassCastException: com.sun.jndi.ldap.LdapCtx
I have checked the classpath and it appears to be fine.

Please help.

Try changing the following in the JMSAdmin Config file:

Comment out the line
INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY=com.sun.jndi.ldap.LdapCtxFactory

and uncomment
INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY=com.ibm.websphere.naming.WsnInitialContextFactory

This is not an answer
But the above suggestion most likely will not work.
1. Because JMS app has no bearings with JMSAdmin.config file
2. INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY=com.ibm.websphere.naming.WsnInitialContextFactory
Thi setting is for WAS and not for any LDAP directory.
