Hi

This is kinda unusual but it is really happening. I am not sure if any one of you out there had the same problem that I am facing

Here is my scenario.

I am running AIX version 5.1 with fixpack 3...I had successfully installed MQ5.3 on this machine, no problem with it...But things change when I installed MQSI v2.1

I followed the AIX installation guide exactly the same, step by step still I am unable to install MQSI broker runtime on my machine...The error shows like this..

You seem to have data from a previous installation of WebSphere MQ Integrator 2.1 which must be removed manaully. Pls see the read me guide for more information..

Once you have backed up and move any required data make sure /usr/opt/wmqi and /var/wmqi have been removed before attempated to install the product again

instal Failed while executing the wmqi.base.runtime.pre_i script.

installation has failed for the usr part of the following filesets
wmqi.base.runtime 2.1.0.4

So I followed with was there written the readme file .uninstall using the simtty, removed the filesystem opt and var and wmqi_license directory and any file name related to wmqi.....and then tried to install...

Same error shows up ...next again remove and tried â€¦.same error â€¦â€¦

just for the heck, I tried to use on another AIX 5.1 fixpack 3 machine....Same error. Now I am stuck and dont know what to do ...

It is because of OS or some file in MQSI 2.1 that I need to removeâ€¦

I would appreciate if anyone can help to resolve this problem cause this installation I am working on is a UAT and Production machine.....
