Hi,
I installed MQ v9 on my win 10 desktop. My account name is "user".
C:\Users\user>whoami
desktop-e9oss4i\user
I tried to run the below setmqaut command. but it threw error.
C:\Users\user>setmqaut -m B -t queue -n QL.B -g user +connect
AMQ7097E: You gave an authorization specification that is not valid.
Can someone pls help me with this. I am trying to learn this stuffs thanks in advance. |

An app MQCONNects to a qmgr, not a queue (QL.B). +connect is not valid for a queue object.
Table 2. Specifying authorities for different object types - lists object types and authorizations that are valid (YES or NO) https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/ibm-mq/8.0?topic=commands-setmqaut#q083500___q083500_2 _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

Or use MQ explorer which has the amazing ability to make things easy. _________________ Well, I don't think there is any question about it. It can only be attributable to human error. This sort of thing has cropped up before, and it has always been due to human error. |
