I've successfully compiled amqscnxc.c and have tried to connect to a remote queue manager and continuously get a 2059 (MQRC_Q_MGR_NOT AVAILABLE). I've tried it both ways -- first using arguments for the program and next by assigning the MQSERVER environment variable. I could swear that I'm not misspelling anything (like the svrconn channel name and hostname) and keeping everything case-sensitive.

Am I missing something here? By the way, this is on an AIX 4.3.3 system with MQSeries 5.2 (CSD6) server AND client installed.

Did you link in the MQ client or server lib to your program? I believe the MQ client lib is libmqic_r.a

THANKS. I did so and it seems to work fine... however, it only seems to work with my MQ version 5.2 install and not 5.0. Of course, this isn't so much a factor as much anymore since we're phasing out 5.0 soon.
