Hi,

I have installed MQSeries 5.2 on Sun Solaris as per the installation script provided. I have defined 4 queue managers on the system. While I was trying to start one of the queue managers, I am getting the error : AMQ6109: An internal MQSeries error has occurred.

The explanation of the error is as followed:

AMQ6109 An internal MQSeries error has
occurred.
Explanation: An error has been detected, and the
MQSeries error recording routine has been called.
User Response: Use the standard facilities supplied
with your system to record the problem identifier, and
to save the generated output files. Contact your IBM
support center. Do not discard these files until the
problem has been resolved.

MA88 Support Pac is also installed. When I run a Java program to access the MQ QM we get the following error:

SIGSEGV 11 segmentation violation
si_signo [11]: SEGV
si_errno [0]:
si_code [1]: SEGV_MAPERR [addr: 0x0]

I am able to start all the other queue managers. Can anybody throw any light on to this problem? Is there any settings that I need to do in the system?

Regards,

Sajith

If you have four queue managers on the machine, I'd bet that your kernel parameters aren't set to handle them. There is a brief description in the Quick Beginning manual. I believe it has a footnote about which parameters apply to queue managers, queues, etc.
