We're going to implement MQWF V3.3.2 on a Windows 2000 platform. The runtime database will be on Oracle Server for Windows 2000 rather than using DB2 UDB.
According to the manual, this is a supported solution. However, I found that only DB2 could be used for the Runtime database configuration in "MQSeries Workflow Configuration Utility".
Any kind soul can give me some advice on how to configure MQWF to use Oracle as the runtime database on Windows platform.
Thanks and regards, |

How did you find it?
When we see in configuration utility, it asks for catalouged instance of DB2 database. We usually have DB2 installed and then we install MQWF.
I think if we are using Oracle as database, configuration utility will ask for Oracle database cataloued instance.
Which database has to be used is determined during installation. Dont remember if we select it explicitly while installing, or setup itself determines db type!!
Koko, have you tried to do the configuration? What does it show? _________________

The good news is that you can use Oracle (check on supported versions) for runtime. The bad news is that this is supported only on UNIX platforms.
