Hello,
We are getting the error code MQRC 4027(MQRCCF_MQOPEN_FAILED) while external system trying to connect to z/OS queue manager.
Checked logs on Queue Manager Master and CHIN STC and there is no error in the logs.
The corresponding server connection channel is showing as running.
Can you some one please help me how to fix this issue.
Thanks

What does this mean? Please be precise.
Who/what is "we" that is getting the error? Where do you see the error?
What external system? A Windows image? A CICS region? Some 3rd party app?
How is it trying to connect to z/OS queue manager? _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

MQRC 4027(MQRCCF_MQOPEN_FAILED) is a PCF return code. I assume you are getting this from an admin tool of some sort, like MQ Explorer.
The description of this error says to "Check whether the queue manager is active, and the queues involved are correctly set up."
From your description, the queue manager is active, and the client/svrconn channel is connecting. So, are the queues being used by the admin tool available? Has this connection ever worked? Did it stop working recently?
You will need a SYSTEM.ADMIN.COMMAND.QUEUE and a model queue which is likely dependant on the admin tool you are using, for example for MQ Explorer, the SYSTEM.MQEXPLORER.REPLY.MODEL. Are these queues present on your queue manager?
Cheers,

Very surprised that there was no error in one of the STC logs for this problem. _________________ Morag Hughson @MoragHughson

I'd asked the OP where the error was seen, but no response. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.
