MQGem Software is pleased to announce the availability of MO71 Version 9.2.1. This comes hot on the heels of the 9.2.0 release earlier this month.
This mini-release contains just three features, all of which were requested by our customers.
The new capabilities are:
- The ability to change the value of a field for many locations at once
For example, you might want to add multiple locations to a group or network name.
- The ability to give multiple locations the same security credentials
This is done by associating the location with a Security Group
- The ability to specify whether a CCDT import should generate an MVS location
This applies whether using a normal binary CCDT or importing from a JSON CCDT
Read more and download the products from https://www.mqgem.com
As always we are interested in any feedback you may have - good and bad.
If you would like to try out any of our products, please get in touch via email to support@mqgem.com to receive a 1-month, no obligation, trial licence.

Does this needs MQ Client installed or just Java libraries? I have not used this recently and I might be dating myself by saying I did use this utility when it was a MO71 support pack offered by IBM.
I tried running both "cmd" version and "exe" version but don't see a "add location" anywhere in the menu. What am I missing?
I did change the path to MQ installed on my local Windows. But must be missing something? Do I need a license to get this working? |

Yes you need an MQ Client installed and you'll need a trial license for MO71 as specified by Paul. _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

It is certainly true that in order to try out MO71 one should get a trial licence. Without a licence one can do very little in the program. However, I tend to agree that generic operations such as Add and Change location should be able to be used even without a licence. So, to that end, I have just put up a new version of MO71 which will allow just that.
Of course I would recommend that anyone wishing to try out MO71 get themselves a trial licence. The same is true for any of our other products. All you need do is send an email to support@mqgem.com and tell us what you want.
Regards,
Paul. _________________ Paul Clarke
