All,

Last week, I came across "C, Just in Time!" (aka CJIT) and have been playing around with it. I was able to successfully compile/link and run MQ sample applications without any issue.

If you ever wanted a C compiler/linker as a single executable without having to install anything, then I'd suggest trying out CJIT.

Looks really useful. I do like interpreted languages. Still miss MQ with REXX.

Well, I don't think there is any question about it. It can only be attributable to human error. This sort of thing has cropped up before, and it has always been due to human error.

Interpreted? It looks like a compile and link wrapper that runs every time the program is used.

I did something similar to this for the SNOBOL language on the DEC SYSTEM-20 midrange computer in the early 1980's. Instead of a user needed to invoke an interactive language interpreter shell (like most BASICs), I found a method to produce a directly executable program that embedded the source code and ran the SNOBOL interpreter without any user interaction. Mind you, I didn't particularly like SNOBOL as a programming language.
