Dears,
Are there any considerations in using MQ HA Active-Active Architecture....
If the MQ is active-active... How work load is being distributed ?
How MQI clients get connected ?
Thanks

Active-Active in MQ usually refers to running 2 queue managers simultaneously (with different qmgr names of course), that provide the same workload capability. They can run on separate servers, or in an OS HA Cluster (eg. 2 nodes, 1 qmgr normally running on each node, but both can run on 1 node if required). In either case, the qmgrs are commonly also in a MQ Cluster, and utilise MQ clustered queues for workload balancing.
MQ Client apps can be configured to connect to either qmgr, and fall back to the other if preferred is not available.
What are your requirements? _________________ Glenn |
