Is it correct to say that stopping a listener will not cause any established channel connections to drop, but just prevent new ones on that port?
(MQ 7.1 on z/OS using a Group listener) _________________ Well, I don't think there is any question about it. It can only be attributable to human error. This sort of thing has cropped up before, and it has always been due to human error. |

Yes, but strictly speaking, after a TCP socket connection has been established, the end points negotiate a separate port, and there is no further reference to the listener port. ie. Even blocking the port in a firewall will not affect established connections or the ability to stop them. _________________ Glenn |
