Hi
Is there a way to control who is able to trigger PROCESS on a MQSeries Client.
I have two NT domains, Domain A is running the MQServer where Domain B has been installed and configured with MQSeries Client.
Now, in order for me to connect from Domain B to Domain A, I had to add the MCA user identify to connect to the Queue, otherwise it was't working.
Now this means anybody can just come in & connect to Domain A, which is not correct, any advice on how to reslove this secuirty concern.

This has always been a drawback in MQ.
But bear in mind, not everyone can come in and connect to your server. Only and Only those users who either login as you, or who pass in alternate user as your userid can connect. Say your userid is FRED and you added a principal and mcauser, FRED. Then only those users whose logon id is FRED or those who use alternate user as FRED get the authority to connect.
To be able not to allow even that, you have to write a security exit with some sort of a pass-code.
Just a suggestion. There could be other ways too.
Cheers
