If you're that worried about performance, you need help with your design!
I would strongly doubt there's a measurable performance difference between the two methods, but you could prove this with a simple test.
If I had to choose between the 2 methods, I'd be thinking more in terms or design, developer skills, maintainability rather than performance. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
