My client is moving their v7.5 app to v9.1 They are missing context.jar. Has this been depricated. What is the alternative? |

Hubert, it is context.jar. or mqcontext.jar. I do remember the ME01 support pack which allowed you to create a JNDI. I have asked the customer and supplied them with ME01. But at v9 I am wondering if this is now built in. Have to go looking. |

I would recommend they use the com.ibm.mq.allclient.jar. _________________ Working with MQ since 2010. |

Aaah, I've never seen this SupportPac. When I had to create a JNDI, I used the JMSadmin tool, which comes with the MQ Installation - and this tool is still available in 9.1.

Never understood why IBM promoted some time way ago the use of the qmgr as JNDI.... Tell them to use what they should have been using all along: fscontext.jar. It is a much better implementation of a JNDI than the mqcontext ever was. Have fun _________________ MQ & Broker admin |
