Hi
I am reading some documentation about CONNAUTH, and I still have some questions regarding the CHCKCLNT option REQDADM. What I understood is that this attribute is used when the user ID is in the mq priviledge group, but am not sure in which cases would be advisable to use this attribute |

What use cases do you have around remote administration of queue managers?
Align your use of this attribute with those. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

If you allow remote users to access your queue manager and they are allowed to present or be assigned a privileged user to connect to your queue manager then you should not allow this sort of access without some form of authentication. If you have other stronger authentication than a simple password check, then all is well, but if not, a minimum of checking a password before allowing remote privileged access is really something you should consider. This is why IBM set it at this value by default.
