MQ 5.2.1
Windows/NT Windows 2000
I try to figure out how to start the web administration service from a command line, preferably also changing the WebPort.
The online help of the MQ MMC snap-in says about the "trace" option: "the trace window will only appear when Web Administration is restarted from a command line", however, I couldn't figure out how to do that.
I am more interested in the command line way than in the trace.
We need this for remote administration of our queue managers. Yes, I know there are other ways of doing remote administration, but for now this is the only acceptable one in our situation.
Please please pretty please. |

I have encountered problems with the Windows Web-Admin service on several occasions, and have also had to perform MQ-tracing in determining the cause.
Try running this from your command line:
jview /cp "<Root-Path>\MQSeries\mqwa\server" com.ibm.mq.mqwa.server.MQWAServer
- where <Root-Path> is the Top path to your MQ Install
(ie/ C:\Program Files)

Thanks Tony, this works.
We have problems getting Webadmin to work properly though, we'll invoke IBM support. |
