If I understand the documentation correct, you can use output data from a previous activity in the current activity as long as it is in the control path.
Here is my problem: I'm trying to add a person's name that came into the process at activity 1 (START) as the activity description in further activities down the line with the following entry: %START:Name%
but it is not working. It replaces the name of the activity in the worklist with the string START:Name and not with the value of that data member.
Any ideas? Thanks _________________ If you do not know the answer or you get the urge to answer with "RTFM" or "Search better in this forum", please refrain from doing so, just move on to the next question. Much appreciated.

Use %Name%, but make sure that you map this value to input container. _________________ Best regards.

Francois:
I believe that you can only use this "refer-back" technique on Transition conditions. For Description the items must be in the current input container as yaakov indicates. _________________ John McDonald
